Mr
Anva Luc of
Chichester, West Sussex, entered Birdman history this
year by being its first blind
competitor.
Mr
Luc, a local piano tuner, chose to enter the Leonardo
da Vinci category as a flying
piano to raise money for the local charity 4SIGHT (West
Sussex Association for the Blind)
who have been helping him since
1986.
A member of 4SIGHT staff
launched simultaneously with him to act as his sighted
guide. Sadly the piano wasn't aerodynamic enough to give him
a winning distance, but £250 was
raised for 4SIGHT through his daring flight!
Mr
Luc and all at 4SIGHT would like to thank those who
sponsored his endeavours.
